This desolate plain used to be a vast marsh before the end of the human war. Now, some types of deer and other small plains animals lurk about in the open, nibbling at the little vegetation that covers this territory. The name of this land is an awkward one, but it's an appropriate one considering the scorching heat and tornadoes in the summer. Some have said that this land 'drains the life out of you'. The name was used by a few wolves early on when the land was first used as a pack territory, and it just seemed to stick.
